Complete Learning Journey
Preparatory Years
Age 6
For the preparatory years, we engage children in various hands-on activities to improve and strengthen their fine motor skills. During this period, children will be engaged in various outdoor learning activities to foster a love of nature and arouse the curiosity within them to discover, explore and learn through observation.
Primary Years
Grades 1–6
At KLCA, we emphasize on character building during the formative years – a solid foundation for the students to build upon in their journey to excellence. Engaging students through experiential learning, nurturing their developing minds and fostering a harmonious relationship between students and teachers – would help propel them to transition smoothly into the secondary years.
Junior Secondary
Grades 7–8
A time where students are in search of their identity and begin to understand a bit more of themselves. At KLCA, we help our students transition smoothly from their primary years to Junior Secondary by enriching their learning experiences, empowering them to make wise decisions and enabling them to freely express themselves in a respectful and wholesome manner.
Discovery Year
Grade 9
Students will embark on an exciting year filled with self-discovery of their hidden talents, strengths and areas of improvement. Discovery year is aimed at introducing our students to a variety of subjects under the umbrella of science and technology, the arts stream and commerce pathway. This year would be focused mainly on project-based learning, outdoor excursions and social experimental programs.
Senior Years — IGCSE Preparation
IGCSE
Grades 10–11
Senior years are mainly to prepare students well for their upcoming IGCSE exam and will rest heavily on academic progress, assessments, and learning through supportive collaboration between students and teachers. Opportunities are available for students to take on mentoring and leadership roles to help them hone in on their communication and interpersonal skills.
